The Beginning
Our first outlet opens in Delhi with a single reduced-milk recipe and a handful of traditional matka moulds.
Two and a half decades of slow-cooked milk, hand-ground dry fruits and a stubborn refusal to take shortcuts.
Jain Kulfi was created with a simple vision — to preserve the authentic taste of traditional Indian kulfi while bringing it to modern dessert lovers.
In 1989 we opened a single outlet in Delhi with one large pan, a handful of traditional moulds and a recipe that had been passed down for generations. There was no plan for fifty outlets. There was simply a belief that if the kulfi was genuinely good, people would come back.
They did. Families who came for a single matka kulfi in 1989 now bring their children to the same counters. That continuity is the whole story.
Real kulfi cannot be hurried. Ours begins with full-cream milk simmered in wide pans for hours until it reduces to roughly half its volume, developing the caramel notes and dense body that define kulfi rather than ice cream.
Dry fruits are soaked, peeled and ground in-house. Saffron is steeped in warm milk, never dosed in as essence. Fruit pulp goes in at the very end so the aroma survives the freeze. Then the mixture is poured into traditional matka and steel moulds and set slowly.

Word of mouth turns one counter into several. Families begin ordering kulfi for weddings and festivals.
Kesar pista, kaju, anjeer badam and fruit kulfis join the menu as the range grows past the classics.
Jain Kulfi becomes an official supplier to the Prime Minister's House, the President's House and leading five-star hotels in Delhi.
50+ locations and 70+ flavours, still made without preservatives or artificial colours — and still slow-cooked every morning.
New outlets and franchise partnerships are opening the Jain Kulfi counter to more cities across India.
Full-cream milk, real saffron and premium dry fruits — sourced for flavour, not for cost.
The same recipes and the same slow method we started with in 1989. Consistency is the point.
Prepared in clean, regularly audited kitchens and supplied cold-chain, from kitchen to counter.
Every batch is checked before it leaves us, so the kulfi at every outlet tastes the same.
